Persian Wedding Weekend in Puglia
A long weekend of fun, international dances, and a mix of traditions.
Kimya and Ryan flew in from Los Angeles to celebrate their wedding weekend in Puglia.
They envisioned a wedding that was chic, and elegant and brought together elements of Persian and American culture. Their wedding weekend began with a welcome beach party in a beach club in Monopoli. The theme of the welcome party was “Aperol Spritz.”
On the second day, they celebrated their Persian wedding at Masseria Traetta, one of the most exclusive Masserias in Puglia. The ceremony was held on the terrace of the Masseria overlooking the Apulian countryside, and the olive trees. The ceremony respected the rite of Persian tradition, from the table laden with fruit, spices, and basket of decorated eggs.
The dinner was held in the back of the Masseria in a large green garden. The tables were set up in a horseshoe, with the dance floor in the center and in front of the tables a large stage for an international band that entertained the guests throughout the dinner. Surprisingly, in the middle of the dinner, the band left room for a performance by a belly dancer.
The next day, Kimya and Ryan invited everyone back to Masseria Traetta for an Italian pool party. The pool party theme was picnic-style, so we laid out long sheets on the lawn, and rented loungers with umbrellas for anyone who wanted to relax in the shade. From noon onwards, a buffet brunch was served, and to make the atmosphere more fun and livelier, we hired a DJ to entertain the guests with the rhythm of music.
